MyState Bank continues to strengthen broker channel experience with new senior appointment

∙ MyState Bank appoints accomplished industry leader Blake Albones to  oversee mortgage broker network

28 July 2021: MyState Bank has today announced the key appointment of experienced lending executive Blake Albones to the role of Head of Home Lending Distribution. 

Blake’s appointment is the latest in a series of senior hires made by MyState Bank to support its  continued expansion of the broker channel across Australia. 

In his new role, Mr Albones will be responsible for the leadership, operations and customer  service of MyState Bank’s mortgage broker network and home lending portfolio. He will work  closely with MyState’s new General Manager of Banking, Huw Bough to maximise the value  created through the broker and home lending portfolio, whilst working to maintain the customer  experience.  

Mr Albones joins MyState Bank with over 22 years of industry experience across retail banking,  mortgage broking, product development and distribution. Most recently, Mr Albones lead the  lending strategy and operations of RateOne Financial Services as CEO.  

Previously, he served as Head of NAB Broker in Victoria and Tasmania, overseeing the distribution  of broker products and managing business development. Additionally, Mr Albones held several  leadership positions at Advantedge Financial Services including as Head of Broker Sales and  National Lending Manager, providing him with a deep understanding of the broker market. 

A key focus for Mr Abones in his new role will be to maintain and strengthen MyState Bank’s  renowned broker service proposition. This includes the Bank’s market leading loan approval  turnarounds times. He will also focus on further expanding the Bank’s national footprint.
