Brighten appoints new Senior BDM to meet growing demand in Victoria

Melbourne, Aug 27, 2024

Leading non-bank lender Brighten has appointed Nicole Woodruff as a Senior Business Development Manager focused on the Victoria market.

The strategic hire comes in response to the state’s rapidly growing demand from brokers. Recent ABS data shows that Victoria holds the highest percentage of total new loan commitments in Australia, at 28.04% over the past twelve months.

“While there’s strong demand in Western Australia, Queensland and New South Wales for new home loans, we’re seeing that Victoria has the highest demand. We’re excited to welcome Nicole to our team to help our brokers meet this demand and grow their business,” said Chris Meaker, Brighten’s Director and Head of Distribution.

Drawing on 24 years of financial services experience as a BDM at AMP Bank and Pepper Money, Nicole will leverage her expertise and demonstrate Brighten’s innovative lending solutions can provide a better experience for brokers and homebuyers.

Ms. Woodruff comments, “I’m pleased to join the team. Brighten’s diverse funding products and solution-based approach allow borrower’s to access finance that they might not otherwise have access to. Brighten’s team is committed to empowering home ownership for all Australians, especially the underserved segments in the market, including the self-employed.

Nicole will join a team of six BDMs and will focus on supporting the brokers in Victoria as the state continues to see exponential growth.

According to the Victoria State Government, Victoria remains the fastest-growing state in the country, with the population expected to reach 10.3 million by 2051. This rapid growth has created an increased need for housing and Brighten is well positioned to support this.
